Check off part of your STL Summer Adventure when you read a Truman Readers or Gateway Readers Award nominee! These books are ideal for readers age 12-18.
Each year, Missouri readers in grades 6-8 (Truman Readers) and 9-12 (Gateway Readers) vote for their favorite book from a list of nominated titles. The awards are bestowed to authors by the Missouri Association of School Librarians. These book awards encourage students in their teen years to express their unique voice through exploring new literary genres, communicating with their peers about young adult literature, and honoring authors writing for teens.
