As much as I want to gush over this book, there were things (character and story wise) that didn't add up. Maybe it's because I don't remember all the supernatural powers Amelia has and what they allow her to do, but I felt like she did things that she shouldn't be able to do, especially when she finds out about them later on (e.g. spiritual projections - how was she able to see what was happening in the shed?).

Also, am I the only one a little disappointed how a certain golden-eyed detective turned out. I had such high hopes from him. Oh, and on a side note, that scene on the porch between them was pretty creepy. When will she find a nice man who can accept her without any baggage of his own?

AND HOW DID THAT KITTEN GET THERE IN THE CYLINDER?
