A delightful skewering of life under late, terminal capitalism, the film could serve as a dead-on portrait of Johnson country or Trump World in microcosm. The naysayers must be in the moneyed class or Faux News adherents.

Worst movie ever made. Predictable, stupid, vulgar, poor acting, poor script, poor directing, poor everything, I do not honestly recommend this movie to anyone, not even to my worst enemy. Sorry! I am having doubts about the Academy, how do they rate all the categories in the awards!

A highly entertaining and thought provoking movie about class and dehumanization. I recommend watching with as little prior knowledge as possible.

On the surface this an amusing movie about a poor family of con artists who take advantage of a gullible, wealthy family. Although they are scammers, one is struck by their inventiveness and how hard they work to get their jobs; why don’t they prosper in society? The class divide, symbolized by the mansion at the top of the hill and the steep descent to the sewer-flooded ghetto beneath, is stark. The change in tone at the end was a surprise, or perhaps a warning.

Fast-paced, clever, thought-provoking and engaging! This movie brings up a lot of interesting questions about social inequality and the plot was captivating.

This movie is a dark story with a nice social commentary on the disparity of the poor and the rich in densely populated South Korea. For those of you that are fortunate have what you want, the moral of the story is to: trust your nose; sniff out the con-job.

Hands down a spectular film. It was beautifully shot and such a good depiction of status/
class in Asian culture. This film really makes you wonder who the true parasite is here or if
we're all parasites. If you really want to understand the film, definitely check out the interviews
the director and actors have done. Check out videos on Youtube that talk about the directing
style/cinematography. Watch the film again, pay close attention to the dialogue because it
foreshadows every little thing, and pay attention to where the actors stand or what they look
at in their scenes. Everything connects and you get a better understanding of what the story is
here.

I had no expectations walking into Parasite, but now my love and appreciation for it has breached the stratosphere. This is definitely one of the best movies of 2019, and it's bound to be a classic.

It's directed by Bong Joon-ho, he did Snowpiercer (2013) and Okja (2017), and now he's back with Parasite and it is fantastic. From a directing standpoint, this movie is gorgeous. The cinematography is extremely well done. It's just stunning and so metaphorical. There are also sequences in this movie that will shake you and leave you on the edge of your seat.

My favourite aspect is the narrative. I love the concept that Parasite is built on and what it explores throughout the movie, with the conflict and contrast between upper and lower cIasses of society. It was just beautiful to watch it play out, with its prevalence within the lives of all the characters, along with how they overcome their difficulties and how they evolve with their circumstances.

The characters and performances themselves are also amazing. The entire cast is just perfect in each of their roles and I really hope they get some recognition from the Academy. I don't think many people mentioned the character arcs but I thought that was really well constructed too.

The score and sound design by Jeong Jae-il was also perfect in every scenario. It brings scenes from 100 to 1000 and emphasises each tone, emotion and atmosphere.

In regards to flaws, I don't think there are any major ones with Parasite. There is one decision made in the third act that I felt could've been better explored to support it. But still it didn't really bother me.

Parasite is probably my favourite movie of 2019. It's funny, thrilling, emotional, satirical and hauntingly true. It's delivers everything that makes a movie perfect and shakes you to your core.

I just canceled my hold for "Parasite" -- because I got the DVD from another library. The film was great! I particularly enjoyed the first 30-45 minutes. The setup of the film made a lot of sense: not over-explained, but understandable and clever. There are a number of levels & nuances in the film. Don't be discouraged by subtitles, America, this is an entertaining & thought-provoking way to spend a few hours.

"You know what kind of plan never fails? No plan. No plan at all. You know why? Because life cannot be planned. Look around you. Did you think these people made a plan to sleep in the sports hall with you? But here we are now, sleeping together on the floor. So, there's no need for a plan. You can't go wrong with no plans. We don't need to make a plan for anything. It doesn't matter what will happen next. Even if the country gets destroyed or sold out, nobody cares. Got it?"

Kim Ki-woo: Dad, today I made a plan - a fundamental plan. I'm going to earn money, a lot of it. University, a career, marriage, those are all fine, but first I'll earn money. When I have money, I'll buy the house. On the day we move in, Mom and I will be in the yard. Because the sunshine is so nice there. All you'll need to do is walk up the stairs. Take care until then. So long.

Lady are you crazy? If they see that video, Mr. Park and his wife will be so shocked! What did those nice people ever do wrong? Why do this to them?
-Stop right there! Or I'll push the 'send' button.
===
Honey, this 'send' button is like a missile launcher.
-What do you mean, honey?
If we threaten to push it. those people can't do anything. It's like a North Korean rocket.
===
She's rich, but still nice.
-Not "rich, but still nice." She's nice because she's rich. Hell, if I had all this money. I'd be nice, too!
===
Rich people are naive. No resentments. No creases on them.
-It all gets ironed out. Money is an iron. Those creases all get smoothed out.
===
My wife has no talent for housework. She's bad at cleaning, and her cooking's awful.
-Still, you love her, right?
Of course. I love her. We'll call it love.

Now our Wi-Fi is shut off. What's your plan?
===
I don't think of this as forgery or crime. I'll go this university next year.
-So you've got a plan!
===
To extract a woman like that, we need to prepare well.
-Right, we need a plan.
==
What do we do? This isn't in the plan.
===
Dad was going on about some plan...

A lot of planning (scheming,) P2 of 2:

You don't have a plan?
-I just feel comfortable here.
===
What do we do now, what's our plan?
-I've been wondering... What would Min do in this situation?
Min wouldn't be in this situation!
===
So nothing happened. You understand? I've got my own plan.
===
Ki-woo, you know what kind of plan never fails? No plan at all.
-No plan.
You know why? If you make a plan, life never works out that way. Look around us. Did these people think, "Let's all spend the night in a gym?" But look now. Everyone's sleeping on the floor, us included. That's why people shouldn't make plans. With no plan, nothing can go wrong. And if something spins out of control, it doesn't matter. Whether you kill someone or betray your country. None of it fucking matters.
Got it?
