I'm really enjoying this series, where Sherlock Holmes' daughter Joanna is the protagonist. She has a mind like her father's but has a bit of a feminine touch and her son seems to be developing a similar kind of analytic mind.

There are a lot of references to Sherlock Holmes. Joanna meets Dr. Watson and his son, also Dr. Watson (a pathologist), and they get married and all are involved in the complicated cases they help solve. I highly recommend this series and how that the author keeps on writing more books in this series.

In some ways I like the series more than Laurie King's Holmes' books because there is less violence and a lot more thought and analysis.
