Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech was first published in 1994. The novel won the Newbery Medal in 1995. Sharon Creech had originally intended to write it as a follow-up to her earlier novel "Absolutely Normal Chaos," but when she began writing the novel, her idea changed. The author has been quite adventurous throughout her life. She has often embarked upon highly adventurous journeys. While delivering her Newbery Medal Acceptance speech, she mentioned her trip by car from Ohio to Lewiston, Idaho. She mentioned that she had taken the trip with her family soon after her 20th birthday. She said that that particular trip later became the basis for the long journey taken across the country by Salamanca Hiddle in the novel "Walk Two Moons."Ready Reference Treatise: Walk Two Moons Copyright Chapter One: Introduction Chapter Two: Plot Overview Chapter Three: Major Characters Chapter Four: Complete Summary Chapter Five: Critical Analysis.--Provided by publisher
