After three demigods named Jason, Piper, and Leo visit Camp Half-Blood, they inherit a quest: to free Hera, a prisoner of Gaia. But who are the other four demigods mentioned in prophesy who will join them in their quest? The answer may lie in another camp miles away, where a new camper has shown up and appears to be the son of Neptune, god of the sea

I absolutely loved “The Lost Hero”, which was the first book in the Heroes of Olympus series. This book was even better, especially since Percy Jackson was in it. This book gives a bigger insight on the Roman gods, rather than the Greek gods, which is very interesting. Other than Percy, this book has an entire set of new characters, so its very interesting so learn about everyone, especially with the multiple point of views. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first book in the Heroes of Olympus series “The Lost Hero”, and you should also read the rest of the books in the series. 5/5 stars

I love the book, and the length is perfect! I can finally sit down and just listen for hours and not have to worry about running out to quickly

Delving into the Roman side of things in this book felt very…foreign, but I think it introduced plenty of new material to distinguish this series even more from the first. It was fun having Percy back. I like Frank and Hazel decently well, but not as much as I’ve liked some of the other characters. They both have interesting and complex backstories that go along with both their strengths and weaknesses. I like the development of the overall series plot that happened in this book. Orion's awesome. :) I liked the ending, too.

Isn't it the Greeks that are trying to unite the camps?

I REALLY miss Percy

The only thing I can say about these books is that they are TERRIFIC! Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series was awesome, but the Heroes of Olympus is also great! The author includes such wonderful details and the battle scenes are so exciting. I look forward to each and every one of these books and have listened to them all on cd. The reader is the best!

Actually talar2000, the name Gaea can be spelled either Gaea or Gaia, depending on whose version of mythology you read. And the word prophesy also has two spellings: Prophesy and prophecy. Just saying.
