Description

April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to celebrate neurodiversity! Join certified speech-language pathologist (SLP), author, educator, and advocate Becca Eisenberg for a virtual storytime, interactive game, and Q&A discussion of her book, All About Feelings: An alphabet book for emerging readers

Free copies of All About Feelings will be made available for pickup from Union City Library for local participants. If you would like a copy, register for storytime and email prubanova@aclibrary.org with your request. Books will be available on a first come, first served basis.

What is "Storytime with AAC"? This program is designed for emergent communicators four years old and up (emergent communicators are new/existing AAC users who typically communicate with single words). It is open to children of all abilities and their families! Please note that communicating with an AAC device is usually very slow, and we will pace storytime with this in mind. Find out more about "Storytime with AAC" and see all upcoming programs at Fremont Main and Union City Libraries here.

Becca Eisenberg, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-AAC is a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) dedicated to supporting individuals with complex communication needs across the lifespan. She is the creator of the All About Core and All About Feelings picture book series, designed to support AAC users and promote meaningful, accessible literacy experiences. She is also the author of the picture books What Is Loneliness? and My Second Year of Kindergarten, each written to help children feel understood, empowered, and seen.

Rebecca is the creator behind the Life Skills 2 Learn YouTube channel, where she shares AAC modeling videos, literacy routines, and practical strategies for families and educators. She is also a TPT author, where she develops AAC-focused materials, adapted books, and functional life-skills resources for schools, clinicians, and families.

In addition, she has created numerous games and workbooks published by Super Duper Publications and continues to expand her library of AAC-friendly materials.
