Elder fraud is on the rise! In 2024, elder fraud complaints reported to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) rose by 46%, with victims losing $4.885 billion nationwide. This represents a 43% increase in losses compared to 2023. These costs can include significant portions of the older victim’s life savings, as well as their property or other assets.
