Coding for Kids with Sarah

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Centerville

Description

Join a teen instructor for our monthly program to help kids build early programming skills with Hour of Code!

Attendees will follow an Hour of Code program with our teen instructor Sarah as a guide. Students will explore basic programming concepts through block based coding. Coding projects are done at attendees' own pace, so this program is best for kids 8 and up. Anyone under 8 needs to remain with an adult or guardian aged 16+.

*Work is completed via the web, so attendees should bring their own computers if possible but up to 12 members can check out tech-it-out laptops if needed

**Space is limited, tickets will be handed out fifteen minutes prior to the event

Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests!

An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
