Description

Hello Book Club Families,

Book of the Week:

Winter of the Ice Wizard by Mary Pope Osborne

Merlin the magician and Morgan le Fay have disappeared, and in order to find them, Jack and Annie journey with their friends Teddy and Kathleen to the Land-Behind-the-Clouds, a frozen kingdom of ice and snow. There they must overcome their fears and solve the Ice Wizard’s riddle, because if Jack and Annie don’t complete their mission in time, Merlin and Morgan will disappear forever!

This book will be read in three parts on January 15, 22, and 29.

About Our Book Club:

Each week, an AAC user hosts our sessions, and a librarian reads our story. After each reading, we enjoy an activity or game connected to the book, celebrating representation, creativity, and the many wonderful ways people communicate.

We celebrate all forms of communication—AAC, speech, gestures, and expressions—and follow a Floortime-inspired approach that centers on meeting readers where they are and building joyful shared experiences.

When applicable, a visual schedule will be emailed 24 hours before each session to help our readers follow along.

Special thanks to Mary Pope Osborne and Penguin Random House for allowing us to read The Magic Tree House Merlin Missions: #4 Winter of the Ice Wizard in our virtual book club.
