Events › Read to a Dog

Volunteers from the Alliance of Therapy Dogs will be at the library to listen to you read. They are very friendly and are so excited to hear all kinds of stories!

This program is for children to practice their reading skills. Priority sign ups are given to elementary school age children who are working on these skills.

Space is limited. On the morning of the program, please sign up at the reference desk or call 510-284-0601 to reserve your 15 minute time slot.

Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests!

An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
