Art History in Action: Mesopotamia

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
San Lorenzo

Description

Step back in time and discover the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia.

In this interactive workshop, learn how Mesopotamians invented cuneiform and shaped human history. Kids will then craft their own cylinder seal to stamp a unique design—just like the ancient artisans once did.

With over 20 years of experience teaching art history, Mr. Conn will lead this workshop. He enjoys bringing the past to life and inspiring students to discover the meanings and creativity behind art.

All materials will be provided — just bring your curiosity and creativity. This event is designed for kids ages 8+.

Supplies and space are limited to 18 participants; tickets will be handed out at the front desk 15 minutes beforehand.

Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests!
