Text & Textiles

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Fremont

Description

A book club for crafty people!

Do you like to read? Do you also like to create textiles? Let's combine the two into a new (crafty) book club we call Text & Textiles!

Here's how it works:

  1. Read any book you want. Audiobooks count, too!
  2. Make a granny square, quilt block, or other textile in the colors found on the cover of the book you read.
  3. Bring your finished textile to the meeting, and tell us about the book you read.

Over time, you'll have enough granny squares or quilt blocks to make a larger finished project.

This program takes place in The Spark and is for adults. Registration is not required, but space is limited to the first 15 people. (Note: this session repeats on December 6. The same information will be covered. There is no need to attend both.)

Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests!

An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least 7 business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
