Celebrate Diwali with us at Fremont Main Library!

Join us at the library for various events this Diwali. There will be story times with crafts in both Hindi and Tamil languages for the younger kids. Older kids will get to attend cultural celebratory events.  The dates and events are: 

Oct 6th, 6:15 to 7:00 PM - Diwali Hindi Storytime; Recommended Ages - 2 to 5. 

Oct 10th, 3:45 to 4:45 PM - How to Henna for Kids; Recommended Ages - 6+

Oct 13th, 6:15 to 7:00 PM - Deepavali Tamil Storytime; Recommended Ages - 2 to 5. 

Oct 15th, 4:00 to 5:00 PM - Diwali Crafts for Kids; Recommended Ages - 5+.

Oct 16th,11:15 to 11:45 AM - Diwali Toddler Storytime (English); Recommended Ages - 1 to 2. This event is part of the current Toddler Storytime Series.

Oct 16th, 4:00 to 5:00 PM - Bollywood Dance for Kids; Recommended Ages - 8 to 12  

For the Storytime, caregivers / parents must be present to engage with their children during the program as we learn and explore together!

No Registration required. Seats are limited and a ticket is required to attend the events. Free event tickets will be handed at the Childrens Service Desk, 15 min prior to the start of the program. 

Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests!

An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least 7 business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
