This program is thoughtfully adapted for individuals with physical, developmental or cognitive challenges to create a safe and inclusive space where all children can experience the benefits of yoga practice. Adaptive Yoga focuses on enhancing body awareness and coordination while promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment.
Sessions will be conducted by YogaMihi instructor, Rathna Noojibail. Ms. Noojibail is an experienced yoga/meditation teacher and yoga therapist, and she has been teaching online and in-person classes in the Bay Area for over 20 years, to students of all ages.
**A caregiver must be present with each child.**
Please note: we kindly request caregivers be actively involved in helping their child participate, as needed. No prior experience necessary. A signed waiver filled out by the start of the program is required to participate. Please bring your own yoga mat or towel.
An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter can be provided for this program if requested at least seven business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
