Debate Details—September 10, 2024, is the scheduled Presidential Debate between Vice President, Kamala Harris and former President, Donald Trump. At this time, the topics for the debate have not been revealed. The moderators for the ABC event are World News Tonight anchor, David Muir and ABC News Live Prime anchor, Linsey Davis. Debate Time: 9 P.M. eastern and 6 P.M. pacific.

Both candidates have agreed to the following rules: (1) Microphones will be muted throughout the debate except for the candidate whose turn it is to speak. (2) While no props or pre-written notes will be allowed on the stage, candidates will be given a pen, a pad of paper and a bottle of water. (Source: CNN.)

Albany Library’s goal is to offer the public an opportunity to hear the debate on September 10, 2024, in a neutral environment, where they can gather information without being influenced. There will be no discussion after the event is over.

Seating: First Come Serve Basis.

We at AC Library care about your privacy. We use Zoom to host our virtual programs. None of our live programs are recorded and none of the chat logs are saved. Everyone registered for an online program will receive the link to participate in a separate email before the program begins.

Masks are optional for visitors and staff at all our AC Library locations in alignment with the end of State and local COVID-19 emergencies.

Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests!
