The Pandemic was a physical and mental blow to all in the United States. However, major cities like those included in Northern California were hit extraordinarily hard. It is accurate to say that recovery from the pandemic was accomplished by volunteers, first responders, medical institutions, pharma, businesses, governments, nonprofits, food banks, and more pulling together to overcome this challenge.

Our Thank You celebration is a tribute to Moms, Caregivers, First Responders, Government Organizations, Nonprofits, Library Members, the Friends of the Albany Library, ACL, Volunteers, and the Community for continuing to support the library through this challenge. We would have had a hard time continuing to serve the community without your support.

• On May 12^th, we want to thank you by acknowledging contributions made by our Moms, Caregivers, the community, first responders, doctors, nurses, garbage persons, COVID-19 test site providers, local, state, & federal governments, nonprofit  and medical groups, food banks, and others. 

• On May 12^th , we want to celebrate with you by listening to the amazing music of CHARGED PARTICLES & sharing wonderful food prepared by an extraordinary Bay Area bakery.

• On May 12^th, we celebrate with you by drinking wonderful coffee prepared by MEAN MUG COFFEE & by offering our guests wonderful floral gifts prepared by local florists.

Event Seating: First Come Serve Basis. 

Cost: All AC Library events are free.

Event Sponsors: The Friends of the Albany Library and Alameda County Library.

Masks are optional for visitors and staff at all our AC Library locations in alignment with the end of State and local COVID-19 emergencies.
