Description

Poetry Takes Flight: Birds of California with author James Roethe

The Friends of the Castro Valley Library are honored to present James Roethe, author and poet, in a discussion of his latest book, Poetry Takes Flight: Birds of California.

James Roethe is a life-long hiker and birdwatcher and decided to write in verse about birds seen on a typical hike in the Bay Area. The resulting book of poems focuses on the lives of birds we see in our familiar surroundings and often take for granted. Jim will read several of his poems and will talk about his many birdwatching adventures!

This program is open to all at no charge, but advance reservations are required. Light refreshments will be served. Please join us for this interesting presentation!

An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
