Learning Partner Orientation

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Fremont

Description

AC Library’s community program helps people read to learn, speak to everyone they choose to, and write to anyone using any writing tool they want. We look at each learner’s individual goals and skills. Learners need someone to partner with them to reach their learning aspirations.

Are you 18 or older and interested in helping your community members reach their personal goals and build the lives they want? If so, we are looking for volunteers with open minds, patience, empathy, and flexibility to become Learning Partners. We invite you to join our upcoming Learning Partner Orientation to learn more about our learners and their goals in improving their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. No experience required – we train you and provide ongoing support and materials.

We at ACLibrary care about your privacy. We use Zoom to host our virtual programs. None of our live programs are recorded and none of the chat logs are saved. Everyone registered for an online program will receive the link to participate in a separate email before the program begins.

An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least three business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
