Events › How to Find and Download Your Tax Forms

This Workshop is designed to show attendees how to download their tax forms, locate sites for tax preparation, and where to find IRS and Franchise Tax Board officials to answer to tax questions. Attendees must know what tax forms they need for their tax return. Presenter will not give any tax advice.

Specifically, the workshop will demonstrate how to do the following tasks:

• Go to the IRS.gov or Franchise State Tax Board site(s) for tax information.
• Locate where tax forms are on the IRS and Franchise State Tax Board website(s).
• Download and print forms from tax websites.
• Order forms from previous tax periods.
• Make appointments to have tax agencies complete your tax returns.
• Find online or telephone help for tax questions.
• Find local free or low-cost tax preparation service. 
• Show how to determine where your tax forms should be mailed.

Workshop Instructions:  Again, attendees must know what tax forms they need for their tax return. Presenter will not give any tax advice. All tax questions will be referred to IRS or Franchise Tax Board for resolution. The DUE DATE for FEDERAL and STATE TAX RETURNs is OCTOBER 16, 2023 for many California counties. • Note: If your county is not included in the severe storms, flooding, and mudslides tax relief plan, then your tax return is due APRIL 18, 2023.

Finally, the Albany Library does not have a tax preparation program. However, Albany Library, when possible, will show attendees how to find local preparers to prepare their tax returns.
