Learn the basics of electronics from reading circuit diagrams, to soldering your own musical instrument over 5 weekly classes. No prior electronics experience necessary.
Participants will learn how circuits work, how to read circuit diagrams, how to use a breadboard, and how to solder a circuit on perf-board. By the end of five weeks participants will have made their own light theremin (a synthesizer controlled by light) out of basic electronic components and the 555IC chip.
Participants must be at least 13 years-old to participate, and sign a waiver to use the soldering iron during the program. This program will be limited to 8 participants. Online sign-ups are required to reserve a spot. Please do not sign up if you will need to miss a session as there is limited capacity.
