Want to be able to tell an oak from a maple, a gum tree from a cypress?
Are you curious about the trees and plants around the Union City Library and William Cann Memorial Park?
Do you have questions about choosing plants for your own water-wise garden?
Join us in-person for fun facts and pro tips, followed by a family-friendly Tree and Plant Walk around the Union City Library and nearby William Cann Memorial Park. Led by our local Urban Forest Friends (Yoo-Yoo Yeh of tufatrees.org) and Master Gardener Ed Ellebracht.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and should be able to walk or be carried a distance of 0.2 miles (350 yards). Please bring clothing and shoes you feel comfortable walking in and possibly getting dirty.
An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least three business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or accessibility@aclibrary.org.
