Join us for an inclusive music making experience designed for children with special needs, open to children of all abilities! We will explore social connection through music and play. The session will be led by a board-certified music therapist.
You are encouraged to bring your own instruments and keep them on standby until prompted by the therapist. If you do not have instruments, please consider adapting household objects for making music. Use pots/pans & wooden spoons or chopsticks. Shakers can be made ahead of time from non-breakable containers, filled with common household items (rice, pasta, buttons, etc.), and sealed. No glass dishware for safety.
Please register with the name of the participant(s).
Those who register for this program will be sent a questionnaire, which will allow the music therapist to tailor the program to all participants and provide the best experience.
Recommended age: 5+

An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least three business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or firstname.lastname@example.org.
