Crafting Together! - Watercolor Resist Painting

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Description

Hey friends, join us for an hour of crafts!

During this hour, we will create a fall-themed leaf painting with supplies you should already have available to you. For this Crafting Together program, we will create a watercolor resist painting. We will combine crayon drawing with watercolor paint. The crayons will repel the watercolor away from it to provide an interesting result.

Reminder: Please acquire the craft supplies before the program starts. We highly recommend that adults be present to assist.

Here is the list of supplies you will need to gather in advance:

  • Watercolor Paper or Thick Cardstock Paper (paper should be white or light color)
  • Watercolor Paints & Paintbrushes
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • Tablecloth or Mat (to keep your work area clean)
  • Towel or Paper Towels to Dry Paintbrushes
  • Wax Crayons (a white crayon will give a special effect to this craft)
  • Black Marker (sharpie or another permanent marker)
  • Pencil & Eraser
  • Scratch Paper for Doodling
  • Ruler (optional)
  • Leaf Template (optional and will be emailed to attendees)

Hope you can join us!
