Python Fundamentals is a virtual class that aims to teach students in grades 5-8 everything they need to know about coding. We will be using the Python programming language and learn all about strings, integers, printing, input, built-in functions, creating functions lists, tuples, dictionaries, and much more! We will even have a fun capstone project at the end of the class!
All students must have access to a laptop and an internet connection in order to participate.
Students must attend all 6 classes from July 7 through August 11. Space is limited and fills up very quickly. Please register with the student's name, not the parent's.
Zoom link will be sent 1 day before the first class.
Note to Registered Students: you must be in the Zoom waiting room 5 minutes BEFORE the class starts on the first day or your seat may be canceled and released to the waiting list. Make sure to change your screen name to match the name used for registration before you hit the "join" button.
Note to Waitlisted students: check your email at 1:30 PM on July 7. You will receive an email notification around that time if a seat becomes available for you. You will then have 10 minutes to log in to claim your seat.
We at AC Library care about your privacy. We use Zoom to host our virtual programs. None of our live programs are recorded and none of the chat logs are saved.
An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter will be provided for this program if requested at least 7 days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or email@example.com.
