The non-fiction book club returns!
Each month we read a work of non-fiction and discuss it. We read a wide variety of books and invite everyone to join us. While we encourage everyone to read the book, we sometimes have people that have just learned about the book, or only have had time to read part of the book; this works really well for non-fiction.
This month's selection: Together: The Healing Power of Human Connection in a Sometimes Lonely World.
In Together, the former Surgeon General addresses the overlooked epidemic of loneliness as the underpinning to the current crisis in mental wellness and offers solutions to create connection and stresses the importance of community to counteract the forces driving us to depression and isolation
Interested in non-fiction? We get many of our book choices from NonFiction4Life.
We at ACLibrary care about your privacy. We use Zoom to host our virtual programs. None of our live programs are recorded and none of the chat logs are saved. Everyone registered for an online program will receive the link to participate in a separate email before the program begins.
An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least three business days in advance. For assistance, please contact your library or email@example.com.
